How to Register Your Child for Taleemi Wazaif
- Confirm your Kafaalat status: The mother or female guardian must first be an active Kafaalat recipient. Check your status by sending your CNIC to 8171.
- Visit your child's school: The school's designated BISP focal person or head teacher handles Taleemi Wazaif enrollment. Bring your CNIC, your child's B-form, and their school enrollment proof.
- Complete the enrollment form: The focal person will enter your child's details into the BISP Taleemi Wazaif system. This is done at the school, not at BISP offices.
- Biometric verification: The mother must provide her thumb impression for verification, linking the child's school enrollment to her Kafaalat record.
- Receive confirmation: Once processed, you will receive an SMS confirming your child's enrollment. Payments are made quarterly based on attendance records submitted by the school.
How Attendance is Tracked
School attendance is the central condition for receiving Taleemi Wazaif payments. Each quarter, the school submits attendance records to BISP through the education management system. If a child's attendance falls below 70 percent in any quarter, the payment for that quarter is withheld. The payment is not permanently cancelled but only suspended for that period.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can fathers register their children for Taleemi Wazaif?
No. The programme specifically requires the mother or female guardian to be the Kafaalat beneficiary. Registration and payment linkage is through the female beneficiary's CNIC and biometric data.
My child is enrolled in a madrassa. Does this count as a government school?
Registered madrassas affiliated with the Wafaqul Madaris and formally registered with the provincial education department may qualify. Confirm with your nearest BISP office whether your specific institution meets the programme criteria.
We moved to a different city and my child changed schools. Will payments continue?
You must update your enrollment at the new school by following the same registration process. The previous school's records will not automatically transfer. Visit the head teacher at the new school as soon as possible after transfer.
